My Top 10 Amazon Buys of 2022
I love a good list. Like LOVE. I also love thinking that buying something that solves a problem for someone else will somehow solve all of my problems too. Alas, that is hardly the case, but I did use the heck out of these items I purchased on Amazon this year. 11/10 they will make you happy too. In no particular order…
Clean Skin Cloth Towels - never do I ever want to wash my face with a washcloth again. This is highly unnecessary and goes against my tree-hugger ways, but damn it is nice to wash your face with something you know is completely clean. I cut them in half, so they last twice as long!
Gleamin Face Mask - the only face mask where I’ve ever noticed an immediate difference. It makes my skin so tight and bright, and I love for weekly treatments or pre-event makeup.
Chomps Turkey Minis - often the only protein one of my children consumes all day. Sigh. Instant repurchase though.
Fully disposable travel potty - moms of girls, you NEED. no more cleaning a potty after the park or organizing liners or anything. The number of times that NO ONE has to go to the potty until RIGHT when we get to the park is innumerable. In fact, I will go on record as saying the hardest part of having girls (so far) is that ain’t nobody peeing behind a tree. Though one time I did have a child poop behind a tree. And then I bought the disposable potty and regained some sense of control over my life.
Bluey Monopoly - y’all. We have entered the board game era of parenting, and I’m here for it. At least right now. This one has been so simple to follow and the games don’t outlast our attention spans. We also love the Peaceable Kingdom games where everyone works as a team - no tears or sore losers!
LMNT Packets - 35 is for hydration. I don’t have these every day, but definitely after I drink and any other time I feel dehydrated! I mix in way more water than they indicate and it cuts the saltiness.
Toy Organizer - I tried so hard to have a cute playroom. Especially because our “playroom” is visible from almost every other main area of our home. But closed boxes and cute bins ain’t cutting it. The open storage makes it SO much easier for the girls to find what they want, and lead to less dumping out the whole bin to find one tiny princess Barbie crown. Plus, it’s easier for them to clean up because they can see where things go. This is definitely coming with until they’re old enough to read and/or play with one thing at a time.
The Drop Tiered Maxi Dress - I wore the absolute shit out of of this dress this summer. Date night, park dates, pool, errands - all the things. It’s perfect and flowy and not hot in the 100 degree 100% humidity of Houston.
Dock and Bay Beach Towels - love these for the pool and beach! They fold up so small, I can fit all four of ours in the cooler backpack below, plus snacks, water, sunscreen, goggles, and more. They’re not particularly cozy and cushy, but they dry so fast and fold so small, I’ll take the trade.
Cooler Backpack - we used this every single day this summer for the pool, take it to friends’ houses for football watching, and carried the Christmas turkey in it for the holidays. It’s the perfect size!
Can you tell there’s strong Amazon energy in this household? Other Amazon Pro tips include pre ordering holiday things (paint by stickers, themed paper plates, and classroom decor are my go-to’s for festive days) outrageously far in advance, ordering dance clothes and school uniform basics every summer, and last but not least, getting an Amazon Chase credit card for those cash back rewards. I’m not pro enough to use subscribe and save because it stresses me more to think about having too many extra paper towels to store than to just do a one click order when we’re running low, but I can definitely see the appeal. Maybe 2023 me will figure that out.
